Lindsey Rural Players presents
From Cabaret to Cats
directed by Abigail Wright

A show that will take us, albeit fleetingly, into the world of Musical Theatre.

It was on July 5th 1855 that the tiny Theatre des Bouffes-Parisiens opened it’s doors to fifty members of the public – and Offenbach established operetta as a genuine art form. Twenty years later Gilbert and Sullivan entered the arena adding comic verse to music – followed by Ivor Novello, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lionel Bart, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd-Webber….the list is endless.
