Welcome
to the award winning Broadbent Website. The site has a split
focus and concentrates not only on the Broadbent Theatre but also on
Jim Broadbent.
The Broadbent Theatre is
owned and run by amateur theatre company, The
Lindsey Rural Players. It also plays host to several
visiting companies both amateur and professional. Built
in 1878, it was converted from Methodist Chapel to
Theatre in 1971. The theatre takes its name from Roy
Broadbent who was among those involved in the conversion
of the building. The son of Roy, actor Jim
Broadbent, is the Honorary President of the
Lindsey Rural Players. |
